The lad comes from a poor family in Brasil, and he's been offered the chance to secure the lives and futures of all the people he loves. Yeah he'd still have earned good money in the Prem, but he'll probably be taking home 3 times as much.

Pagey, he might have chosen to earn loads of money in Saudi Arabia because it was the only option open to him.
I am just speculating of course, but judging by previous transfer dealings it's quite feasible that we were just being very tight.
